We can see the car right there.
But with software?
It can look like anything!
Pixels can be reconfigured in any combination on a dime.
And businesses can use the same software for a multitude of reasons.
This presents a variety of challenges for startups trying to go to market:
→ different categories have different buyers
→ different categories have different competitors
→ different categories have different price implications
→ different categories require different channels and tactics
This is why positioning is so crucial.
What you call yourself will determine your competition AND your differentiation/unique value.
